Training the brain to improve fluid intelligence: Simultaneous breathing counts

(4) Start by trying to keep track of 19 abdomen-breaths – i.e. up to 10 breaths and again down to 1 (do not count 10 twice before counting to 1 again!). If you lose track of where you are, start again from 1.

(5) Once you have achieved this, extend the cycle 1-10-1, so that you can maintain this exercise for 5-10 minutes. Any time you lose place start again from 1.
